Pharmacy

For the love of whatever... I made the mistake of using walgreens pharmacy. I started using them about 4 years ago, and they have never been able to get everything right in any given month. They want to refill on different days, even after I've pleaded with them to process only on one day each month. I refuse to go every few days just to please their bs store traffic purposes - in fact, they've only succeeded in forcing me to completely bypass any other purchases.
I despise this pharmacy. Even my dr sympathizes with my experience (and has told me I'm not the only one going through this with the walgreens location I use)
One month I went in and asked the tech to put one of my prescriptions back. She said it was refilled because it was due. I asked her to please read the prescription to me. She read it and I asked her "What do you suppose AS NEEDED means? Doesn't that translate to PRN? As in not scheduled? I do not need this refill right now." She put it back.

Why do I have to train the people working on my refills? Half the time they appear to be reluctant to do anything. I've seen horribly long lines with customers getting frustrated, and the techs are in a group, having a discussion in the back of the pharmacy. Hello? Seriously! Do they actually get paid for not working?

Ugh. I've had it. No more refills there. I'm transferring to a different pharmacy. I don't know where I'll end up going, but things are going to change. Walgreens has told me the problem is with my insurance demanding refills - so I contacted my insurance and discovered that Walgreens is blatantly lying about that, and some other things. Last year my insurance even processed a complaint on my behalf.

If this doesn't get better soon, I would just rather avoid all medications. I know my rights, and just because there's a medication that can help me, that doesn't mean I need to take it. If I can control my health concerns with lifestyle and diet changes, then I don't need a pharmacy.

I hate healthcare when it turns into a bureaucratic nightmare.
