When I was 16 I graduated from high school early and enlisted in the military. I became a military police officer at the ripe age of 17 years old.
When I became 18 still serving I was able to pass the civilian academy and begin reserving at 18 (in the state I was stationed 18 was the legal age to be a police officer) and I was able to work in multiple law enforcement roles. Starting in the jail and courts as well as civil papers. I was also able to ride along and assist deputies before being thrown out on my own. I also reserved in a couple of small towns.
At the age of 21 I went into part time military service. Got my first “big boy”police officer job at Las Vegas and later in California. Before later moving to Texas and now Missouri. I have served in many law enforcement roles. Such as patrol. Detective. Street crimes. Narcotics. Vice. And now command staff. I’ve LOVED my law enforcement careers and despite my WORST days. I wouldn’t trade it for anything else
