You are not my friend

I worked with this guy about 10 years ago. I was in my early 20s, he was around his early 30s.

Guy was a smug douchebag. He'd literally follow and stand behind me to make fun of my ass and my posture in how I carry myself. He tried to talk down to me about my band shirts like in not a real fan before then going on to tell lies of supposedly having dinners with famous people.

Needlessly to say me and this guy weren't close. He was one of those loser types who tries to be friends and "cool" to younger people when they all pretty much thought he sucked.

I saw him yesterday and I tried to ignore him. Once I saw it was him I had the impulse to run away but couldn't. I kept my head forward and tried to act like I didn't see. Then he sounded kind of pissed and said hi to me.

We are not friends. I will never willingly go back to the place I didn't know he worked at until yesterday.

While I'm not really happy with where I am careerwise, I don't think I'm doing too bad. The job is okay and better than where I was when I knew this asshole. I'm not fat like he was at my age and still is. I don't try to talk to teenagers like I'm cool. I never lie about eating dinner with celebs or anything. And in another 10 years I'll still be less than a loser than he is.
