Raising kids in NY is for the rich
Scouts in other states can go to more events and have way more sophisticated experiences that expose them to real and useful skills. The events in NY are either very watered down or they cost so much - usu due to cost of insurance - that they're prohibitive for all but the wealthiest. Fundraising will allow troops to experience maybe ONE quality experience that isn't hiking or camping but they can barely do that given the cost of travel to get to hiking and campsites.God bless the parents who live in NY
and NO I don't have to stop the NYer BS - whatever that means
