malcolm in the middle reboot

The trailer came out....and? Flanderized bullshit from the looks of it. Lots of shit of Bryan Cranston being naked which is gross. I think one day shit will come out about him. But, it looks like Jamie and the kid Lois was pregnant with during the finale have been retconned into not existing. The actor they have as fake Dewey looks nothing like him and appears to be several years younger, why they didn't just write him off, I don't know.

Malcolm is spouting off mental health buzzword bullshit. The show has to check off some diversity checkboxes, so he has some light skinned black girlfriend. The old show had actual diversity that was genuine, but like everything with this reboot, it seems to be devoid of the genuity and spirit of the original show.

Who is this shit for? I was raised on Malcolm in the Middle. My mother was 1000000X worse than Lois, but Lois was one of the few people on TV who even slightly resembled how my mother behaved. I understood the whole white trash dynamic, because I was white trash. So, as someone who grew up in the 2000s and loved the original show, I don't feel like this is for me. It doesn't look like it's really for anyone. I don't see how fans of the show are going to enjoy this, when it seems like everyone is a flanderized cartoon version of themselves, and half the shit established in the old show has been retconned.

I really don't want to piss myself off by watching this. I shouldn't have even watched the trailer.

And what's with this low production funeral lighting that all of these reboots tend to have. It makes the whole thing look cheap. And then it makes all of the geriatric actors look like shit too. Like what the fuck? And no Stevie. Where the fuck was Stevie? No Craig either. And Lois's mom is dead. So, damn. How can you do this without the supporting cast, and I'm sure a lot of the writers from the original are long gone too. I could fucking write a better and more true reboot than this shit. I think most casual viewers of the old show could.
