Two weeks ago, I've met a guy and I think I've genuinely fallen in love. We're currently still friends but whenever we talk, irl or online it gives me electrical surges. Obviously, I'm just a girl so I'd run up to my friends to talk about him. They weren't fond of the idea of me having a potential love interest which I didn't mind AT FIRST but oh god it's getting TIRING. They keep telling me to shut up whenever I mention him, even in the SLIGHTEST for no reason. I swear to everyone reading this that they have no cause to horribly reject my romancing gushes. They'd even slander the guy, which is extremely disrespectful. They never even met him. I just wished I had space where I could ramble about him all I want without getting backlash, even worse that it's from my closest friends

Ellis why dont you just talk to the guy get his number? I know its forward but try to find an excuse thats non romantic if you can like work or someone because guys wont care girls are different. Then start texting him with personal questions to give the hint you like him, then if he likes he will text and if he doesnt figure it out just ask him out. Dont listen to "friends" girls see eachother as rivalries in most cases. Not always but with dating you got to make up your own mind maybe listen to family depends who your family are I guess. But really you got to figure it out yourself anonymous 2 hours ago
