Jaws at 50

As the title suggests, this is about the Jaws documentary that just came out. It was shit.

Steven Speilburg had maybe 5 minutes of screen time and nothing new was said by him. "It was hard. We were over budget and schedule. I was scared I'd never make another movie after this and would be fired by the studio. I experienced PTSD afterward." Literally the same spiel he has given on every other retrospective from the last 20+ years.

This really plain looking British actress who probably ain't even old enough to had been alive when Jaws came out was on there, and this bitch got more screen time than Speilburg. She rambled in a monotone and exaggerated British accent of nuisances and shit she couldn't have possibly noticed when first watching the movie as a child. Who the fuck is she but some plain looking bitch who failed miserably at playing Mary Poppins about ten years ago.

All "pop culture nostalgia" documentaries are the same.

They start with static/VHS/COMPUTER screen footage of whatever the thing is. Then the music and montage stops and it cuts to the near death looking people/actors involved in it.

Lots of hangerons who had zero involvement ramble about what the shit meant to them. Because Seth Rogans fat little ass is so special, he's the only one aware of pop culture. At least if it's a fellow musician or director there is a little more reason for them to be there, but it's still obnoxious if they had zero involvement in whatever the subject is.

You get a very bare bones Wikipedia account of the thing in question.

It ends with fake "hopeful" stock music and one of the hangerons act as if everything in the world that came after was influenced by whatever the fuck this documentary is about.

This shit has become as brainless and empty as History Channel specials. I won't be watching any more. Real fans get nothing and it's soulless.

There is so much unreleased footage of the making of Jaws. Would have been nice to see that. There was a clip of Speilburg arguing with someone for like two seconds. Would have been nice to had seen that in its entirety instead of that British cunt. Just saying.
