This one girl got picked to be published in our schools magazine over mine and she was gloating about it to me and I'm PISSED. I swear she only got the publication bc she's black. Her article was full of simple grammar mistakes, spacing issues and she didn't even summarize the full article in her conclusion. The work was a C-B at BEST. I think she was only gloating bc academic "success" is the only way she can feel superior because her beauty is lacking (She stares at me all class, and yes I'm blonde and pretty). Im going full speed towards publishing my own work because there was NO WAY, hers got picked over mine. I'm a senior and she's a freshmen too.
