We've been sold fairy tales

A fulfilling life doesn't always mean dating, marriage, 9to5 jobs, a lot of friends and children, i think what they are is the illusion of safety.

I think true happiness is knowing how to take care of ourselves physically and mentally, positive inner dialogue, have freedom of choice, have enough resources to feel safe and a few people (or pets) who truly understand us.

I think it's a matter of conformity, if you don't do all of those things, you won't fit in well with the "normies" which is most everyone at work, suburbs (a breeding ground for all of that)
