Transit fare evasion

So one thing that bothers me is people, who can afford to pay transit fare not paying their transit fare. It is duty. When I visit family and we have to tap off after getting off the train, I see 3/4 of the people not tapping off. They are not charged for the price of the trip. This is fare evasion. I can understand the homeless folks not paying. Many IT people in different companies are also not paying. I know the places where they work. They gather in groups in the train and discuss the office politics in their respective companies. They vent before they reach home. I guess they keep it away from family. I listen to the various languages. I know many languages. I later translate what the people said to my sibling. Now we know what goes on in each company in Canada. Riding the train is like listening to the newspaper.
