Streamers are Parasites

As a viewer I understand that streaming is a job for many of the people that do it, but as someone who has seen a ton of corrupted streamers who build intimate communities I have to ask.

What the hell is wrong with some of you?

I'm not talking about the streamers with massive followings that are backed by corporations and have at least some money put behind them by an outside force other than their fans.

I'm talking streamers with small but loyal communities, the usually of the community games variety.

Holy shit why the fuck do all of you motherfuckers hate your fans?

Like I understand that life is extremely hard right now, but devoting every second of your existence to trying to find ways to squeeze money out of an audience that you know from experience can barely afford to give you money in the first place is absolutely insane.

Hearing some of y'all talk about your audience like ATMs behind their backs is so fucking disgusting.

I understand that parasocial relationships are annoying to have to deal with, but when you go out of your way to be friends with your audience or at least get acquainted with them, then start treating them like shit when they don't pay you enough, that is absolutely insane to me.

I would be happy to have even half of the audience you guys do, yet despite you constantly being cruel to people needlessly you were able to keep your numbers up because everyone's too scared to talk about y'all.

It doesn't help when they basically excommunicate anyone in their community that even so much as having a single complaint about them.

Or even just for having weird quirks that's if they don't like.

Eventually people will start to notice how hateful you are for no reason, and you will start to bleed followers because when people join a community they want to actually feel welcome, not like they're being used.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to make money from your job but, if you are gonna be a douchebag to the people that pay you to get your money, you shouldn't be a streamer, especially not a community games streamer.
