Blatant

Hi. My younger sibling works for an organization and she held a workshop / presentation at our house today.
My sister was giving a presentation on what she word for word called propaganda work an escalation phases.
The presentation was a tutorial on how to spread their propaganda (reminder: that’s the literal word she kept using over and over) to the masses and “how to escalate” issues against “their opponents”. She also talked about how it’s important that after each “campaign”, they need to analyze their results and see how their opponent responded to their demands and to keep going if their opponent gave in just a little (and then keep pushing them until they get what they want out of their opponent*) or to go back to the drawing board if they were unsuccessful.

*One of their strategies to get their “opponents” to give into their demands is to simply overwhelm them in numbers. My sister said it’s like ‘politically jumping’ people they are against (aka their “opponents”) but it’s only okay as long as it’s people they disagree with.

Someone asked about having conferences or debates because they’re not comfortable with being aggressive with people like that and my sister along with other senior members of this organization said that talking things out does not work and it’s better to just overwhelm, out number, and to use propaganda to gain more allies instead. Their goal is gain more allies to their movement for the purpose of being able to outnumber and essentially bully their opponents into submission.

I was extremely disturbed by the fact that my sister along with a few others blatantly kept using the word propaganda as if it’s a good thing.
I was also disturbed by the whole meeting / presentation as a whole. It was basically “how to manipulate the masses and bully people you disagree with 101”.

And to make things worse, my sister is fully aware that our parents left their home country which was riddled with lots of corruption which included propaganda. That same country had a dictatorship at some point, too. You would think that for someone who’s part of an organization who is supposedly all about ‘the homeland’ she would be against stuff like propaganda or anything else that contributed to the corruption and danger our parents left behind when they came to the US.

The point of this all is to just let people know what’s going on with groups like my sister’s organization. They know what they’re doing and they’re doing it on purpose. They literally hold meetings about spreading more propaganda (which is the actual word they use) and networking to gain more allies to help them spread their propaganda to other local communities.

If I was several years younger and someone told me this, I would be skeptical about this. I probably wouldn’t believe it if I didn’t witness my sister’s meeting / presentation.

Like I said, if you ever meet these people and they act innocent like they didn’t know the full extent of their actions being dangerous or at the very least rude, they are lying. It’s all part of these plans they map out in meetings like the one my sister held. They know what they’re doing. They’re not dumb. They’re tactful, I’ll give them that though.

I’m extremely disturbed that I’m related and living with someone who blatantly holds meetings, presentations, and makes tutorials on how to spread propaganda of all things.
