Sad ass singles event

You're there and you recognize some people from dating profiles, frequent flyers who think no one is good enough. Old people. Men. Fat bitches who remain in their group to where you can't even try to talk to them. Fat bitches who branch off on their own and snicker like they are better than what few people who show them interest. Great crowd as you can tell.

The one woman my age who looks good is immediately bothered the whole night by this dipshit orbiter in Marvel pants. Bet anything he didn't even ask for her number.

Regardless I'm standing around, trying to turn this event around. I get approached by this very obvious gay guy. I wonder if I give off that vibe, then it happens. His friends come over. Two women, one who was plain and the other who looked good. You have to juggle the attention and small talk between all three of these people now, and it goes nowhere. They then rinsed and repeated with everyone else who they hadn't done this with. Of fucking course it got them nowhere.

Life is not a sitcom. In their mind this was a bulletproof idea, in reality it just made for awkward smalltalk that went nowhere because no one had a chance to really carry out a conversation. How about being secure enough to branch off on your own?
