Interesting that Oklahoma has become the target of many projects no other state will accept. This includes wind power farms, smelters, hazardous waste injection, solar power farms, medical waste dumps, and data centers to name just a few. It's frustrating when local government blocks a project due to concerns of the local residents. These include environmental concerns such as air and water quality, traffic concerns, population density, noise, and water or electricity usage. Then the ban is overturned by one judge, and the project moves forward. Thanks for representing the people! The additional downside to many of these project is that they don't have a substantial size workforce, or even any employees, so there is no employment benefit for the area. Quality of life? This is of no concern. Big business, including private equity firms win again.
