this is why I stay. People are like "if your not happy then just leave" blah blah. The facts of the matter is husband is my best friend in the world. He is a 10... but. There are a lot of people in this step parent type situation. People seem to believe that I am mean to the kid and treat him terribly. I don't. I am actually very good to him in a way that is like a teacher to a problem student. I will advise, guide and suggest, and enforce the rules of the home, but I will not play some kinda demented motherly role. I love him but I am not obligated to love his gross kid. I don't give a fuck who you are, stupid is not forgivable. Like I've stated, my mother did not have a "motherly instinct" and neither do I. If he were a normal kid, I probably would be more nurturing toward him, but he is gross, stupid, fat and ugly so fuck that.
