My friend hates my dad bc he is a police officer

My dad has worked for the police force for years, including during 9/11. I met my friend two years ago, and they came down to see me for a event. We had done this the previous year, and had no trouble. However, my dad came along with me and my mom this time, and my friend knows he’s a police officer—they blatantly refused to eat with us when he offered to take us to dinner, and stayed at the hotel for McDonald’s despite their grandmother wanting to come with us. During the second day, which was the day of the event, my friend wanted to swim at the hotel pool even when it was super cold outside. My mom refused to let me go, and then my friend literally said, “You don’t get sick from being cold, it’s scientifically proven, blah blah,” WELL BEING COLD AND WET CAN GET YOU SICK, ESPECIALLY WITH MY FUCKAH SWADDLED VICTORIAN CHILD IMMUNE SYSTEM! They tried to school my mom on something that wasn’t even right for the situation. And later, they said they were scared of my dad, which I fully believe is because he is a police officer due to the things they’ve said before about him, also when he was nothing but nice and barely interacted with them.
When the trip was over, they insinuated that they didn’t want to come next year if my dad will be there. For context, my parents are divorced and I see my dad once or twice a week at best, he enjoys going to comic cons with me and I love spending time with him. I was excited for this trip since I wanted my dad and them to get along incase he would the one to take me to see them on the West Coast, but my friend basically shut everything down.

I rlly need to know if I am overreacting by being a bit miffed that one of my best friends just straight up are repulsed by my dad and straight up disrespectful to my mom.
There is some other details I will leave out, mainly incase my friend finds this before I can talk to them calmly about it.
