My family doesn’t take me seriously or ever listen

For some backstory, I have a cat that’s 12 and got bit by a snake in 2023, she almost died but luckily we found her in time and she survived. In November of 2025 she was bit by a snake again and again almost died. You know what they say about cats right?? Well she was extremely lucky this time too and survived. Since then she’s been permanently inside. She hates it, I know, but it’s for her own good. My family however don’t give a shit and persist on ignoring my pleas to keep her inside. I’ve tried everything I can as a responsible pet owner to keep her safe and protected but my family simply don’t care. To them she is just a cat. Since she’s been on permanent lockdown she’s escaped 3 times. Twice just this week. I finally lost it and just went absolutely berserk. I started screaming about how they would never be this flippant about our dog and how they have a completely different attitude towards our cat. I brought up how much I’ve had to spend on saving her life, not once but twice and they immediately jumped down my throat about how I shouldn’t be bringing money into the conversation and that I need to get a grip and that she’s not that important and that “she’s a cat, she’s gonna want to go outside”. My mum even stood in my face and looked like she was going to hit me. I walked away extremely pissed off, needing to cool down after getting so heated. I know this scenario is probably an odd one but they do this with everything I ever try to bring to their attention. They simply don’t care about what I have to say to them about anything. My dads the worst of them all. Whenever I try to get my point across he immediately shuts me down. There is no conversation. It’s he’s way and no other. Anyway, I’ve got what I wanted off my chest. I just wish they would take me more seriously and start listening to me. It’s so unfair being in a relatively big family and not being seen or heard.
