MAD Magazine
Those magazines were fucking expensive. I remember being a broke ass kid with like maybe $5 or $6 to my name and wanting to buy a MAD magazine. The price was "$4.99 cheap!" and OFC I didn't buy it because I never had any sort of allowance or way to make money and $4.99 was too damn much for 30 pages that were mostly ads and throwaway jokes about then current pop culture. This was in the late 2000s, so far long after the magazine's peak. No wonder they ended up going out of print.I looked back at digital versions of some of the 2000s issues and they suck. Nothing but shit about Tom and Kate and Jessica Simpson. Again, no wonder the magazine slowly died. It kind of fucking sucked.
