Fuck you TV

It always upset and pissed me off as a kid when I'd see these shows where it was like the kids could just go anywhere they wanted at any time and do anything. I always told myself that wasn't how reality is, and now as a grown man, old enough to be a parent, I see that's true.

Like these shows where kids get to ride their bikes miles and miles to the library or store or whatever. Then always going to the milkshake shop and having the money to do shit. Like the reality is like maybe if a kid lives close enough to the gas station or library, then maybe they can go if they are like over 10 on occasion. Not this crap of a six year old being able to go 20 miles to a baseball game. It pretty much has to be somewhere really close.

And the whole fantasy of like every day doing shit with friends. Most kids don't even do shit with their friends outside of where they know them. How about some TV showing that reality? It'd probably make kids feel less like shit about themselves.
