I'm autistic, a picky eater, and have allergens. I get that it can be difficult to eat out with me or but food with people, but it's not like I'm so picky or have so many allergies that I can't have food types in common with others. In fact, I like most fast food places and I'm only allergic to walnuts and pecans. Still, I get excluded from eating activities. Like how my sister ate out with my ex when we were still dating, but the restaurant they went to used walnut oil. Or how today, I wanted icecream and we had originally agreed on Reese's ice cream, but my fiancé changed his mind because an ice cream that had almonds in it was cheaper and I hate the crunch texture of nuts in ice cream (the Reese's didn't have crunchy peanuts, just flavor). He almost decided to buy the one I disliked instead, even though he knew I disliked it.
Why does this keep happening? Why do I keep getting excluded? Do people just not like me? I don't understand.
