Fed Up with a Certain Friend

Okay, so I was with a former officemate who has become my friend for almost three years now. That friend has been slowly draining me unknowingly for many reasons: one, that friend likes to use people to their advantage. If you have a car, that person will suck up to you to get a free ride home. If you have money, that friend will let you pay for their meal. If you have anything useful, that friend will find ways to use it to their benefit. I've been lying low from that friend since last year because I've had enough of the silent abuse.

Last night seemed like I'm done. That friend invited me over for a late snack after a business meeting. As usual, I was given the leftover food and asked to join them for a late-night hangout. I refused because I've been sleeping early since the start of the new year, and they badgered me to agree. Luckily, their other friend (who had a car at that time) was available to go with them, so I was spared another night of being drained (but I still missed out on my 7-hour sleep streak that night).

Tl;dr. I woke up to check on social media to see that THAT friend praised the one who had a car for being there when they needed comfort. If I know, the friend just wanted a free ride home.

I swear, I'm so done with that person. No wonder they never have close friends.
