Extremely extremely heavy period

Something is wrong. My period is extremely extremely heavy. It is just day 2 and I have already finished 1 big pack of sanitary pads. I tell health professionals, but they think it is okay. This time however something is off. I usually have low iron. Sanitary pads are not cheap.
I know it is not right for a woman to talk about her periods, but I am very worried because it is too heavy.
