I've been to sad singles events. Most of the single people had no personality and just wanted a relationship just because. Here are some takeaways.
Guys think this effeminate, quirky shit is endearing. Like putting on this sitcom like persona and thinking everything they say is some great quip. I say this as a straight male, it's not desirable. Not as a potential friend, and not for a relationship. In the brief small talk I had with these types of guys I wanted it to be over, I could imagine how much worse it is when they are putting on for some girl.
Women openly saying they had no hobbies and just worked and went home. Lots of this. Look, I and most people aren't going out every fucking night. I lead a boring life, but I do have interests and a desire to enjoy life. It doesn't require money or traveling the world to have a desire to enjoy life. So many of these singles don't even want to grow in any way. It's like they were coddled and now live their lives on auto pilot. Most couldn't even tell you anything of note that they have done since high school.
It's ironic and shallow when these bitches would look down at men for their jobs, when they weren't making a million dollars themselves. This one ugly chick was really interested in me until I said what I did, then poof. She worked fucking retail.
It seemed a lot of the women drank. More women than men did at these events. Sad.
There was this one guy who looked like Eric from Malcolm in the Middle but was probably about 40. He seemed so angry and hostile, and I don't think it was nerves. Like I get why that guy was single. To quote that black lady on National Treasure "I see why you left him." anonymousDating August 30, 2026 at 11:46 am00
