Asking grandparents for mcdonalds

When I was about 6, Monsters Inc was everywhere. All the kids channels. McDonald's had toys. The ads played constantly.

We were white trash, so McDonald's was pretty much a once or twice a week thing. My brothers and I loved the movie despite having not seen it yet. We loved the happy meal toys.

My parents were going to have us spend the night (be dumped at) our grandparents house in the near future at this point in the story. I excitedly said how I was going to ask if we could get mcdonalds.

My mother fucking went berserk. She screamed and bitched like the kid's mom on the phone A Christmas Story. "WHAT WHAT WHATTTTT?!?!"

I was a small child. A well mannered. Quiet. Timid. Very well behaved child. My grandparents ignored me my whole life. I was the outcast of my family. I'm saying all of this right here because I was by no means a bad kid. I never threw tantrums. I really wasn't allowed to show emotion and my parents enjoyed seeing me scared and or sad.

A child my age if I would have asked would have been slightly rude, but forgivable for someone that young. It wouldn't have been like me having been 10 and doing the same thing when some eloquent dinner was planned.

My mother always was obsessed with looking good in front of my grandmother (her mother) and always treated me like I was some sort of rotten burden who was there to wreck her honor. Ignore that she and her mother had a bad relationship because both of them, especially my mother, behaved like the human garbage that they always were and would argue about shit.

You're supposed to get older and realize where your parents actually were trying or meant well behind most of their actions. Not in my case. My parents didn't love me. Neither did my grandparents. My brothers were spoiled as fuck. And my grandparents favored my cousin's to no end. They didn't have nearly as shit of circumstances as I did, I'm pretty sure my grandparents were aware of this, yet it was them who they actually paid attention to.

So yeah. Put that thing back where it came from or so help me....
