Am I insane?
I feel as though I am a solder in a trench constantly. I can physically feel the trench walls before me. I feel as though if I look up I'll see familiar barbed wire, the wood plank above that serves as a bridge. I can physically feel the claustrophobia, the closing in my throat, the tension in my muscles, the fear that you only get from life or death situations. I can physically feel that yearn to go home, that yearn to be safe. I can feel the bullets, the ground shaking from artillery shells.I've never been to war in my entire life!!
