Unsafe at Home and People Don't Care

Found this site due to shitters on r/rant requiring karma to post. Not wasting my time engaging in Reddit slop just to make a post that will get ignored.

Fuck ants. They're scattered around my home in the kitchen and three bathrooms. It's the annoying kind where there aren't even that many, but they are always in the areas you notice them in.

Can't use the kitchen without having to always be on the lookout for ants to kill. The first tile stepping in has an ant line; if you sit down a roaming ant might crawl on you. Some might be on the counter so you always have to inspect it before using the microwave or pouring yourself water to drink (also checking your cup on said counter). Use the shitty broken trash can where you have to manually lift up the lid since the foot lever sometimes won't work and you'll see some gathering near the doorway to outside as well.

Bathrooms are even worse. Can't even take a shit, brush my teeth, or shower in peace knowing these fuckers are crawling around. At least with brushing your teeth and shitting you can somewhat do that quickly (taking a dump still sucks), but it's the worst while showering. I do not feel safe leaving my towel in that bathroom when I'm not showering otherwise I might end up wiping myself with ants. My breaking point came today when looked up and saw fucking ants coming out of the shower head. Fine, maybe I'll shower quickly to get over with it. Every time I look back up I see more ants emerging out of the god damn shower head. I hold out my hand and see a small flash of black show up on it and disappear with the water before I wash my private parts. The straw that broke the camel's back.

"You're so much bigger than an ant, what can they do to you?" ant apologists like my parents ask me to dissuade me from taking action on these fuckers invading my home.

Obviously I no diff a worker ant in a 1v1. But if you see some, there are a lot more you're not seeing and that prevents me from ever being at ease. I've tried to get rid of these fuckers with those borox and syrup ant traps by Terro but they keep coming in waves. Get rid of a bunch at once over a few days, a few ants for a day, then even more ants come in. It's like a new colony keeps moving in or I'm only eliminating part of a mega-colony. My family just thinks I'm attracting more ants and that it isn't doing anything and I'm annoyed they do not care about this problem as much as me.

After leaving the shower in a rush from almost getting ants on my dihh my parents were having fuss over the wooden floor being wet and cleaning it than actually getting rid of the ants. I would really appreciate comments on gym shower etiquette.
