People don't change. Good person or bad. Only trash ever refer to "old me" and all of that shit. Don't ever believe otherwise.
I'm reminded this morning of some shit.
I was homeschooled K-12. Very isolated, shit upbringing. Didn't have social problems. Retard culture (sensory toys and headphones for no reason) didn't exist and I wouldn't have had that even if it did. I was a functioning person who was forced to be a little adult and pay for the mistakes of the people around me when I was never like them.
When I was in college (community college that financial aid paid for. Perk of growing up poor) I was in class with this group who I thought were my friends. Huge difference in maturity level aside, I thought these people were my friends. They weren't really friends with me or each other. These were the kind of two faced fake friend crap where you are treated like you never existed once the semester is over. I had been around so few people my age at this point that I didn't see it for what it was at the time.
I was reminded of this today, and let's play where are they now?
Douchebag **** guy. He played on his phone all day in class and would interrupt the teacher to tell him class was over. Stuck in high school loser, as that was pretty much all he'd talk about. During the semester he'd sob of how people in grade school thought he was a snob for playing basketball. No, it was because he was a racist unlikable fuckwit. He ended up getting with some slut who had kids with someone else, and is unattractive tattooed trash. Probably a horrible step dad to the kids that in sure he's insecure about not being his. He'll likely knock her up as soon as she lets him, so he can have a kid that's "his."
There were two trashy girls in this group. Let's get the worst out of the way first. This one was a self admitted slutty drug addict then. What happened to her? She got married and divorced and popped out a kid way too young, like all trash does.
I liked the other girl in this shit group. She was trash too tho. I still remember her talking shit about cops and later that day smoking weed like it was nothing. Married a piece of shit like over 10 years her senior, played Breaking Bad and got arrested for meth with him, then did the same shit years later after he was out of the picture. Unfortunately has a son. So, definite trash and always was. I think I liked her because she was objectively pretty but also because she came from the same type of background as me. Only I wasn't spoiled and comfortable enough to willingly keep myself white trash.
Me? In the nine years I've been able to work a job I've done okay for myself. Got away from the middle of nowhere. Have held work. Have very little to do with my relatives. Things are 1000X easier and more stable than they were in my past. Funny how much easier the real world is compared to the life I had at my parents house. The only thing I lack is closeness with anyone and that's just because of how very opportunities there are to meet people. In the meantime, I'm glad I'm not fucking a methhead or pretending to be happy with someone else's sloppy seconds.
