I am sooooo sick of it. Some washed up fuck who chooses to still act like a bratty 12 year old, telling a one-sided sob story of whatever supposedly happened in their life, all while exaggerating what little success they actually had.
Should I really feel sorry that they worked 60 hours a week as a kid? They didn't have real schooling, a lot of the "work" was just playing on set, and they made enough from this to live the rest of their lives without having to work again. That is a lot different and more privledged than what most people get, and it set them up for the rest of their lives. Even if managers took a cut, or Mommy and Daddy put their hands in the cookie jar and took money. You still made hundreds of thousands, if not millions, and still have something to show for it.
And the whole "I grew up around substance abuse" or whatever else most of them claim in their halfassed little memiors. One, that shit is not unique to only you, and if you really went through it, you would not only know that, you would also be minimizing it because that's what a person is forced to do when in a shit situation. And two, going back to my previous paragraph, you at least have a few hundred grand and a house paid for (which is rich BTW) Don't act like you don't have a pot to piss in, and were exploited. And if it were so bad, why do you still talk about the height of your fame every chance you get? I don't care if Nickelodeon paid the other people $85,000 per episode and you only got $45,000 per week, 32 weeks a year, for five years. Count your fucking blessings, most adults now don't even make that in a year.
And then them getting face tattoos or getting arrested for petty crimes. Most people don't do that shit when they are young, because they understand consequence and have shit to lose. Meaning, most don't have endless money to fall back on, and are actually trying to get something established in their lives.
And I get it. It's cult, sheep followers who worship these hasbeens who were never that famous to begin with. People who either refuse to grow up, or see themselves in the actor and their shit behavior and worship and justify them for this reason. Everyone else sees these former child stars as losers who peaked as teenagers and refuse to grow up. Still, I'm tired of seeing this shit.
Aaron Carter's fans were pathetic and enabled him until he died. He died from being a selfish retard. He's the best example I can think of regarding this sort of celebrity worship and coddling, and him having been one of the most childish, bratty, exploitative assholes who constantly went around starting shit and telling lies that his four remaining fans all ate up.
Ones like Jennette McCurdy who basically resent being on embarrassing, weird sitcoms as a kid are alright. She actually had a hard life, is grateful the shows meant something to someone, and probably feels blessed to have some money given that she grew up poor. The other 99% can all go to hell.
