Another nurse burnt out. US healthcare system is disgraceful. Dec. 4, 2024 mid-town Manhattan was the best news I had heard in years. It seems to me an inside job. That health insurance CEO had enemies, rightfully so. The wife, no, divorced & I guess she moved on ? but the feds moved very quickly away from either the wife or a work associate. That CEO was being investigated for fraud, of course. Our healthcare system makes patients die & sick. Care denied. Providers scrambling with charting on a stop watch. They never really even break for meal time. This is not normal. I am sick of this shitty work environment too. Since the shit is hitting the fan with our crumbling empire, I hope we move towards socialized medicine & university. From the ashes of our corrupt/criminal country the phoenix will rise hopefully.

Only ever worked physical jobs, but that sounds bad. Did you try working harder though? That's all feminists told me even I worked so many late shift jobs (2nd, 3rd, 10-12 hour shifts) and regardless of how many hats I wore in my position. 1mil square miles isn't that big, it's super easy to be in the 3 places at the same time.
Luckily I qualified for medicaid in my state otherwise there's no way in hell I'd be here right now. It's a both sides issue. Neither side gets poverty nearly as much as they think. If everyone gets an education you'll still see people at the bottom of the totem pole being abused, and the only thing either side will tell them is to work harder. Go back to school, work more hours, wear more hats, waste more free time applying for misleading and dead end jobs.
I hope the fact we're crumbling does lead to some necessary reform though. it's absolute bullshit. anonymous 39 minutes ago
and it's funny though cause I explained how work impacted my ability to have health insurance and keep tabs on my health, which got me to where I was in the ER. All the surgeons agreed, and a few nurses told me to stop being so stoic. Yet, the moment you people are out and on the internet you'll happily whenever possible go along with the bootstrap philosophy of both parties instead of explaining how you come across people like me regularly. Whether you think we're the smartest, most capable, etc, it doesn't really matter. These things don't occur in a vacuum, but you people also go on supporting the status quo and then expect support. You're not all that different from anyone else. anonymous 9 minutes ago
