One of my close friends has been pissing me off

So one of my friends I’ve had for years is starting to really make my blood boil. They are usually fine to talk to in person but recently I can not stand the way they interact with me and my other friends over text. Whenever we try to express a random thought or something they can’t relate to they respond with “uhuh, right… or just …” and it’s so fucking annoying to have your thoughts shut down like that. It literally breaks down my mental state everytime I try to share something i thought was interesting or funny or something personal and get that kind of response. It happens like almost every day and it makes me so angry that when I think about spending time with them I can not imagine having a good time. I keep trying to tell myself that “you know they’re a good friend and you care about them” and those are true, buts it’s becoming almost toxic to me (and I hate throwing that word around) but it genuinely makes me mad for up to an hour thinking about how they text. Also today they texted something about the space race or whatever and one of my other friends said that it was super random. Pretty average right? But then they blew up telling her that they’re such a killjoy shooting down their thoughts like that and they could’ve just ignored it. LIKE SUCH A HYPOCRITE YOU LITERALLY DO THAT ugh and i don’t know how to bring it up because they are so exhausting to argue with.
