I'm so sad. It's my final year of studies and I see many people getting placed in companies, while my resume sometimes won't even get shortlisted. I have a good academic background, and have skills. The entire placement process is so dehumanising, we are constantly reminded that we are at the mercy of the company's criteria, which kinda is the point, BUT it's so demoralizing and I feel this impacts the confidence. We just start feeling that we aren't good enough. What am I supposed to do? What can I even do? My entire life I have eventually got the results that I wanted. But now I feel so sad and helpless, especially in a country where there is way too much competition and wayy to less opportunities.

Being mediocre is just not good enough anymore. Push yourself to excel at the highest level. Practice interviewing, it's no longer about what you want to be but what you have done in the past so be top dog, work harder. anonymous 5 hours ago
