No Career is Good Enough
My stepmom has always been critical of my career wants. No matter what I pick she always has SOMETHING TO SAY. “I wanna be a teacher” “‘No they’re poor’” “I wanna be an author” “‘They’re broke’” “I wanna be a doctor” “‘You need to be smart for that’”. Now I tell her “I WILL be a wildlife biologist” and that’s still not good enough. It’s always about money with her. I can’t have ANYTHING I want. EVERY SINGLE DREAM I’ve had has been crushed by her.
