Model kits fucking suck

I got a couple as a kid. Couldn't even do them. The million requirements for paint and glue that are in the fine print to any layman looking at the box. You end up with a bunch of black and white pieces that need to be painted, and then you don't have the right glue that works for it either. You gotta get special glue. I had like three sets throughout my childhood and never completed any of them and felt guilty for it. One from a yard sale, another from the clearance at Walmart, and one that my dad let me get ay a hobby store.

I bought this wooden model set and tried to do it today. No paint or glue required. I was reminded of why I hated models as I tried to make sense of the confusing instructions. The pieces weren't going on right and one of them snapped and so did I.

I took a flip flop and smashed what I had put together. It was going to look like shit either way. I wasn't going to spend the rest of the day trying to glue the piece that I'm sure still wouldn't have held. The step I was stuck on still would have been an issue too.

Models are just overpriced fucking shit. At least expensive ass Legos look descent and don't require 56 types of paint because the company is too cheap to make the shit look descent themselves.
