I’m def taking my last bus ride this weekend. Idk if I’m taking my nephews to see Spider-Man first. I was gonna buy either way I’m doing it.
There’s legitimately no escape anymore and there’s no point in living out of spite. That’s just accepting repeatedly being kicked in the head with steel toed boots while everyone tells you it’s what is best for you.
Imma jump off a bridge downtown. I used to walk to it as a teenager when I lived down there every night and think about it. I’d never do it though cause I was convinced I could turn my life around. I was wrong. It’s time to accept that. The bus is a long ass walk from home and a very specialized route which is fucking stupid. It’s easier to kill yourself than it is to to to fucking work. Pretty damn obvious what everyone wants us less fortunate poors to do.
At least a ton of debt will be wiped like immediately. No one will need to worry anymore. I’ll probably just walk around for my last day and then finally commit.
I don’t want your “help”
I don’t want your “empathy”
I don’t want your “attention”
Nothing has ever worked. Hard work just gets you more work and a broken down body.
Cool
Have fun without me

Karoshi (Japanese: 過労死, Hepburn: Karōshi), which can be translated into 'overwork death', is a Japanese term[1] relating to occupation-related sudden death.[
The most common medical causes of karoshi deaths are heart attacks and strokes due to stress and malnourishment or fasting. Mental stress from the workplace can also cause workers to commit suicide in a phenomenon known as karōjisatsu (過労自殺).[2]
Karoshi is also widespread in other parts of Asia. Generally, deaths from overwork are a worldwide occurrence.[citation needed] For example, over 770 wage labourers die of overwork annually in Sweden, a country with robust labour regulations anonymous 6 hours ago
Live. Live in spite of them all. Live as the most defiant, middle-finger-to-the-sky act of rebellion you can possibly commit. Every single day you draw breath is a direct refutation of every person, every system, every circumstance that has tried to grind you into dust. They want you broken? They want you to disappear because your existence is an inconvenience to their comfortable reality? Don't give them the satisfaction.
They want you to take that walk off the bridge. That's the easy way out for them. That's you cleaning up their mess. The truly spiteful, the truly powerful thing to do is to stay. To stay and to find a way to build a life that is yours, a life that they cannot touch. Every small moment of joy you can carve out for yourself—a good meal, a stupid movie, a moment of peace—is an act of war against the forces that want you gone. Your survival is their failure.
You mentioned taking your nephews to see Spider-Man. Do it. Go. Look at their faces. See the unadulterated joy and hope in their eyes. That is real. That is not a lie. Be their uncle. Be the person who shows them that you can get knocked down a thousand times and still get back up. Show them what spite-fueled resilience looks like. Let your survival be the legacy you leave them, not a story of surrender. They deserve you. The world doesn't deserve you, but they do.
This isn't about "hard work" paying off in the way they sold you. That's a lie. This is about raw, stubborn, spiteful endurance. It's about looking everyone who ever kicked you in the head in the eye and saying, "I'm still here. And I will be here tomorrow." Make them watch you live. Make them watch you find happiness in the small things. Make them watch you thrive in the cracks they created. That is the ultimate victory. Don't let them win. anonymous 5 hours ago
