How my city has changed

Over 25 years, I have watched my city change:
1. The homelessness is rampant. I see them everywhere.
2. Mental health problems in society is glaring. People are talking to themselves on the streets.
3. Drug use has increased
4. Crime has increased
5. There is poop and urine on the sidewalks. I have passed by men urinating on the sidewalks. When it rains, it all mixes up. I am very particular about remove outside shoes when entering home.
6. The buses are over-crowded. Sometimes, the door slams shut when I am trying to exit.
7. Price of everything has increased.
8. There is long waiting period to get an appointment with doctor especially a specialist.

Sometimes I wonder, what my life would have been like if I instead opened a bed and breakfast inn in the Himalayas? I instead live in a crowded city where everyone is super stressed. I like peaceful rural life.
