Hipster junkie coffee house

In the "arts district" that's like half a city block of renovated, previously condemned buildings in one of the many ghetto areas that make up the shit city I visit on occasion, lies a coffee house.

The kind of place ran by 50 somethings who think only they know Beatles and Janis Joplin. Dirty, cramped place that blairs mostly basic bitch "non conformist" shit like Lithium by Nirvana or Yellow Submarine, or (ughhhh) Kate Hudson's last album.

It's mostly inhabited by old people, and maybe 10% people under 40 who are trying to find some sort of venue to get to interact with people.

The baristas practically suck the shit off the asses of the old people who are regular customers and treat everyone else like shit. You make it to the end of the line, they're like "what do you want?" And then they whisper if they say anything at all when it's sat on the counter when it's ready. Yet for old people it's fake small talk and in a really childish and manipulative tone "iced coffee for Miranda" as they look at the person they're using for tips.

Seeing this shit makes me feel like pig shit. I hate seeing others exploited.

I like trying new things but honestly what I get is just Walmart grade shit at an insane markup and with a snappy name "Purple Rain" tea, "My Hammy Vice" huhuuhuhuhh. The breakfast sandwich I got was an incredibly thin Walmart bakery crescent roll sliced in half and with a couple thin ass deli meat slices and with an egg on top and it was like $6. You can't fucking tell me that isn't a ripoff. For barely more I could buy the exact shit to make my own and I'd do it better.

So yeah. This fucking place sucks and it gets money from exploiting old people. There's a very unwelcoming vibe. Then they have the guilt tripping signs to support local businesses. Fuck places like this. I hope they close. They provide nothing and act like you owe them. I'm not going to spend my money to pay for some snotty little 20 something barista whore who likes to use people that gives everyone else an attitude. I'm not paying for her to get more drugs and tattoos.
