My gramma had a lovely house. The hen rested in the shoe rack. During the day, she walked around the yard and the front of the house. She gave us eggs. There was a milk shortage and adulteration problem in the village, so we kept a cow to give milk. Her dried poop was used to light a fire in the wood fueled stove for cooking. This cow used to try to kill little kids like me. There cats to catch the mice where the grain was stored. There were dogs, who performed the duty of security guards. They slept during the day and kept watch at night.
My gramma had 10 mango trees, 1 papaya tree, 1 jackfruit tree, lots of vegetable plants. There was a tree that gave edible flowers. Under one of the trees was a swing where I used to spend my summers.
That house is now abandoned since gramma is gone.
