Eventually we all die
Sometimes the only thing keeping me going is that I will, statistically, outlive my abuser. There will be a period of my life, however brief, when I can exist in a world that does not include them.And in fact, I KNOW they don't take care of themselves. So that day could be closer than I dare to hope.
I'll never get an apology.
Or changed behavior.
I'll never see them improve.
Or even stop being horrible.
I accept that.
But we all die. One day the world will lose me, too.
But you first, asshole.
