Unfortunately, all this silly "alpha male", "friendzoning", "women only want a 6ft 8 Chad" fake crap that men are swallowing as a way to avoid their emotions is getting in the way here. The key to any of this is to not go blazing in with a load of expectations. The "friendzone" as you people describe it is not a real place, it's an expectation that men have unjustly placed on women believing that they owe you something for "being nice to them". If your only motivation for being "nice" to a woman, is purely to press an advantage like sex or a relationship because it's "what you deserve" then you are exhibiting the main reasons that makes women not trust men. All good relationships, between any humans stem from a firm base of friendship and trust, if you're not willing to build on this, this is an issue with you... Not with women. I'm not saying that women can't in their turn be "unfairly" selective, judgemental and cruel but what you need to understand is that a lot of women are terrified that most "men" are actually emotionally stunted overgrown kids that they will have to parent. It's not men's fault entirely, the patriarchy has raised you to believe that emotions are feminine and therefore wrong or unattractive, that you do not need to learn basic life skills such as cooking or cleaning because a woman is just put on Earth to do that for you, that if a woman is not attracted to you, they're just being overly picky. The creation of this metaphorical "Chad" as a way to project insecurities onto someone else is a direct microcosm of this effect.
There's hope here for you dude, just go up to someone, try to start up a conversation and make it obvious that if they say no then that is an answer.
