Huh? Shit you say? Cause the average per capita payment is roughly $1k, and that'd make it fall under the line of poverty on average. The US government still takes the "right" to that payment though if they declare bankruptcy for several years. You non-natives get off free otherwise though. The ONLY way that money is safe is to not declare bankruptcy and make creditors go through my tribal court. There are only two cases under which tribal court would allow the percap to be garnished: court order and court ordered child support. Good luck getting a court order as a creditor to take "general welfare" money because non-natives are too fucking lazy to actually analyze their customers.

The best part of all this though is that the system holds me to a higher standard than it holds you, and if i held you to the same standard the system holds me "it'd be unfair" and "I'd be an asshole". However, since it's me it's holding to a higher standard and not I'm somehow sheltered. Anyone who was doing their job properly could've seen my mental illness likely would've gotten me here eventually. They didn't care to check. Now I gotta call and go on hardship programs where they still get interest even if it's dramatically reduced or try to negotiate lump sum payments, take the credit hit, and they continue on with business as normal and people wonder why the fuck I'm such an asshole or the system is so fucking broken because it's so fucking confusing when it works so perfectly for them.
