About Roy

So I want to get one thing clear, I have nothing against Roy. He has been my best friend for god knows how long. It is just that he has been acting kinda odd as of lately. Normaly he is a very chill person to be around, but as of lately, he has been acting paranoid. When I come to his place to watch movies or play games, I find some concerning stuff.
One time I saw a circle on the carpet of the living room. Like a perfect impression that stretched around in a circle. I noticed upon close inspection that there were footmarks. He lives alone, this indicates that he had been going around in a perfect circle for long enough that it left a circle impression.
Another thing I noticed was that he had dimed every available light in his house. They were barely able to light up the house, casting a great amount of shadows all over the place. It was eerie.
While I was in the middle of watching a movie with him (The Big Lebowski, in case anyone was wondering) I heard a sudden thump coming from upstairs. I turned to him and asked if he heard that to.
He just answered: It’s probably just Vance.
I asked who the hell Vance is, this was the first time I had ever heard that name. He said that it was a cousin that was temporarily staying at his place. I tried to ask more questions but Roy just gave evasive answers. I never saw Vance, but I heard him. Footsteps, doors opening and closing, things being moved around. It made me extremely anxious. In the end, I ended up leaving earlier then originaly planned.
When I left the house and got in my car, I could have sword I saw someone standing by the window on the second floor.
I haven’t heard from him in almost a month. I’m worried for him. Part of me want’s to drive to his place and check up on him. But that image of the person standing by the window has got me too freaked out. I don’t have the courage to check up on him.
The thing that is making me write this, the reason why I was so confused when Roy said that he had a cousin over, was the fact that Roy was an orphan.
