Things shit parents do

If you do this shit, don't be all :0 when your kids have nothing to do with you as an adult. Disclaimer, I don't believe in all the pop psychology shit where everything is now "trauma" and "mental health day" I do however think people should be treated with decency and respect.

Calling out for the kid and then saying nothing if they reply. Forcing them to run up to you. Disrespectful and ghetto. All that is.

Acting like the kids owe you. Unless you're rich (or pretending to be) you didn't plan for anyone to come along. That is on you for not pulling out or being on birth control. Don't take it out on the kid. Shit parents don't deserve Mother's Day or Father's Day when everything is already centered around them to begin with. And this whole "dad gets the best thing. Dad gets the remote" bullshit. Fuck that. What does he do for the kids? If Dad doesn't want to be there he is not some saint for keeping the lights on. When he's not a father he doesn't deserve to be worshipped for walking through the door.
