internet

the internet is so fuckin over. like stone cold, rotten meat smell, decaying in a box, shrine in the hallway closet level dead. using the internet has not been enjoyable since straight up like 2019 or 2020. the internet used to be a place for people. stuff made by people to be metabolized by other people. the computer showed you what you asked it to. Nowadays, it is genuinely a desolate, damn near complete ghost town. Trying to find information from the internet about MOST THINGS is completely null and almost fully useless because 1), overpopulation of spam/ artificial content (lets all do a collective head from ass removal and say it like it is. Just like anything else, when you throw a corrupt greedy piggish mongrel into every position of power, what's bound to happen?) and 2), every major staple/ internet tent pole has gone full blown scorched earth and completely slutted themselves out to these corrupt greedy people in return for money, and to their own disadvantage!! what the genuine fuck does youtube get out of 5 minute ad breaks. It can NOT POSSIBLY generate that much revenue when the ads are so long that i lose interest and either go to a different video or just open a new tab and do something else entirely. WTF do they get out of an algorithm that genuinely has not satisfied a single one of my searches in 7 years now, EVEN WHEN I SEARCH THE VIDEO UP BY EXACT TITLE AND UPLOADER??!! Ill tell you what they get out of it, it ain't 14.99$/ month. They get the fuck off my screen and i look elsewhere, somewhere that actually still feels like it has the smallest semblance of human life, and it no. longer. exists. And if it does, whatever the fuck they did to change search engines and algorithms is doing a damn good job at blocking every single relevant search result when i look for those places. Like think about what the internet and social media used to be like.. and compare it to right now. They have all been lumped into a couple of services, generally owned by the same 2 or 3 names we've been hearing over and over and over and over and over for what feels like a million years at this point. No, you didn't have to put extra ads to make more money off of me. No, you didn't have to try and annoy me into paying a monthly subscription to use a website that has always been free. No, you didn't have to pull up bogus, irrelevant search results that "you thought" were most relevant to me ("you thought" btw... "you", a computer algorithm... "thought", you don't think, you are a computer you hold information. Not come up with it on your own.) No, you did not have to try and turn fcking GLASSESSSSSSSUH INTO SOCIALFCKING MEDIAAAAAA YOU DUNCE!!!!!
