If you're going to depend on someone
You might want to treat them nicely.People like to think of those working in restaurants as lesser and treat them badly at times... they're handling your fucking food. Do you honestly think it is smart to even distract a well intentioned person handling your food?
Health care practitioners... why torture a nurse or physical therapist? You need help with your health, yes? So be polite. Don't kiss ass or anything, feel free to substantively disagree or report discomfort, but don't be an asshole.
Even janitors. You want your garbage emptied and your floors cleaned? Or what?
