Why is it that we are so susceptible to the media and the alarmists that they pander to? All of us are marketed to on such a deep level it frightens me to think how much we have forgotten to "think" for ourselves.If Scientific American, for example tells us it is true, that global warming is our fault and that disaster looms, then it must be fact, because in our arrogance of being around a few thousand years, we are sure we understand the millenniums that came before us. Not that they are simply a magazine selling a product. (Ever notice how well the words "Green" "Eco" and "Recycled" cause us to empty our wallets?)
By the way, I sure am glad that the garbage bags I use will save the equivalent of "200" of the 163,000 garbage trucks used in only New York City daily....(0.001% BTW)
I am also happy to recycle and pay for it with increased taxes....less emissions and cost to make it from scratch in the first place though....oohh, is that curb side pick up? Thank goodness, I don't want to miss the coverage of celebrities getting famous doing crap I would die of shame if my children did the same...
Maybe I should just put on my Pink shirt and go for a walk, if I can find ten people to pledge cash....nah, I think I'll just stay in and bake with my Pink Mixmaster and try to understand why my dog craps on the floor once a week. I think the little guys feeling must be hurt...maybe I'll phone the Dog Whisperer tomorrow.
Anyway, I have to go. Survivor and Storage Wars are on tonight, and I have my Blu-ray DVD Twilight Trilogy to watch.... Later!
